Shipping Policy
Production lead time
Every American Iron Beds frame is made to order by hand. Production times vary by collection, typically 6–14 weeks. The exact window for each bed is shown on its product page. Custom finishes, custom sizing, or Dream Gallery one-of-a-kind builds may extend lead time and we will confirm timing in writing before production begins.
After production is complete, transit typically takes 1–2 weeks depending on your location.
Order processing
Orders enter our production queue within 1 business day. Orders placed after 5:00 PM ET or on weekends are processed the next business day.
Free delivery within the contiguous US
Free First Threshold delivery is included on all bed orders shipping to the contiguous 48 United States. First Threshold means delivery into your home or attached garage, packaging not removed and assembly not included.
White-glove delivery — $299
White-glove delivery is available as an add-on for $299. White-glove service includes:
- Delivery into the room of your choice
- Full assembly of the bed by the delivery team
- Removal of all packaging materials
For white-glove delivery, customer is responsible for ensuring a clear space and clear path for the delivery team to assemble furniture. Pets must be contained away from the delivery team.
Remote-area surcharges
Surcharges may apply to deliveries serving remote ZIP codes within the contiguous US, as defined by our specialized white-glove furniture freight carriers. Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, and APO/FPO addresses are not included in free delivery and are quoted on a per-order basis.
International shipping
International shipping is available by quote. Please email Info@AmericanIronBeds.com or call 1-800-378-1742 with your delivery address and the bed model you are interested in for a freight quote. International orders are paid by wire transfer.
Damaged shipments
Orders damaged during shipping that are properly documented will be replaced at no charge. American Iron Beds is not responsible for damaged items signed for without noting damage at time of delivery. Reject orders with obvious damage (dents, bends, broken welds).
Reporting damage: fill out the damage report form on our contact page or call us at 1-800-378-1742 within 14 days of delivery to report any damaged items. Please also note any visible damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery.
Delivery scheduling
Once your order ships, the delivering carrier will contact you to schedule an appointment. You will typically be given a 3–4 hour delivery window during which a responsible adult must be present to accept delivery.
