The Castine has a graceful arched headboard and footboard with delicate spindles and small castings in each arch. The Bayview adds more casting detail along an arched frame, and the Mystic makes a statement with a dramatic curved headboard and a central oval.

For something simpler, the Brighton is a four poster with a grid of slender bars and round finials, and the Colette has gently arched metalwork and rounded finials. See all of our farmhouse iron beds for the American Classics designs our farmhouse customers choose most.

About This Collection

Each American Classics bed is made from thick-walled steel tubing and solid iron rod, with every headboard and footboard welded as one piece. Molten metal is hand-poured around the weld joints, reinforcing them and forming the decorative castings, from finials to arches and scrollwork. Each casting is hand-filed and the finish is applied by hand. American Classics beds come in 13 hand-applied finishes, including premium designer finishes for an added fee.

American Classics beds come in twin through California king, as a Headboard Only, Headboard & Frame (no footboard) or Complete Bed. You can order custom headboard, footboard or rail heights (up to 13 inches taller) for an added fee, and choose standard gunmetal rails or rails painted to match your finish. After you order, you can request up to 4 finish samples. Delivery to your first threshold is free in the contiguous US.
